I read on Twitter a part that said he was raised in a strict Baptist environment and the temptation of the spas clashed in his head and that's may have been a huge factor in doing what he did.

I’d think you wouldn’t see many copy-cats, but we are more sensitive being as close as we are to the lifestyle.
Remember when some thought that massage places would start getting raided more, and cameras were going to be a big issue, when Robert Kraft (Pats owner) got busted in one? That died down pretty quick. Hope this does as well.

BUT in the USA 578 Mass Shootings in 2020. They all have to have their guns . More than one a day. That's an insane amount.

I agree it's a possibility. This is why decriminalization of the trade must happen. Without it there will be a reluctance for the studios to involve the police when (not if) this happens here in Canada.

I suspect it's a combination of their sex work and race. Asian women are often seen as disposable sex objects, even more-so than white women. This is what led him to frequent these places, and then that snowballed into violence against them. However, I do think the fact that they were sex workers was the primary cause of the shooting, and we need to address all aspects of it. First, let's fix the issue with sex work. No more criminalizing any aspect of it. Zero, zip. It's going to happen, let's make it safe. Next, there has been an increase in anti-Asian sentiment since the start of the pandemic, and some of it fuelled by assholes like Trump saying "The China Flu" and "Kung Flu" and so on. We don't need any more racism.

What disgusted me the most was one of the responding police officers trivialized the event - ugh. Stop. Violence against sex workers is super serious.

Well I don't know how's he's gonna handle where's he going. "The shame" he felt is about to go into turbo overdrive.

I feel really sorry for those poor women. They travel half way around the world to do a difficult job with long hours to provide a better life for their family. It shouldn't have ended like this for them, and no one should have to live in fear like this.

After traveling many countries in Asia, I can't even think of having bad thoughts about Asian person. I hate the media for overhype and the way they are spreading fear amongst the community.
