Audio system for my clinic, need help!

When i designed my clinic 3 years ago i installed a surond sound/home theater system, and put 1 speaker in each of 3 tx rooms, 1 in reception, and 1 in our staff room, i installed a volum control in the wall for each speaker.
The problem with this is that with good cds etc some of the music is split over 5 speakers on occasion, i called sony and they can't help me, soooo what suggestons do you have around this?, can i wire all the speakers together and stick them in together? is ther some thing else i can do?

I just had the cd player break down so i need a new idea, i have thought about hooking up my ipod to the system but the music would still be split i believe.
