Ausie bar in Tiger complex

Amate of mine has or did have a bar in Tiger complex, as you approach from Bangla on the right half way down on the outside row, he is a Kiwi, but naturalised Aussie, lost touch recently does anyone know if this bar is still there

Guys name is Darren brownish curly hair thai wife with a baby about 2 years old

Is the bars name Aussie Bar?? How far in and what side of it might help you i think....

Bar owners change alot esp in the Tiger complex so unless your mate was making a killing dont know if he'll still be there.. I heard the rent in there is very high...

Walk into the complex from Sharkeys side, bear right and the bar was on the outside row about half way down. pretty small bar with low roof as I think stairs or supports from disco upstairs went thru middle of bar

there was an aussie bar down there called wet dreams bar,i only know because there was a kangaroo on the sign as well 555

Darren had the Kiwi bar- sign not up anymore so I take it he has moved on. Purely in the interest of the forums I will saunter past tonite. They got set up at one point over underage girls if I remember correctly and it pissed him off royally. A shame as he was a good bloke and it was about the only place in Tiger I would drink.

I met a Darren (Aussie) who opened a bar in Night Station in January. Was still there in June. Big guy, blond hair... cute Thai wife... though she was cheating on him so who knows if that is still going...

Sorry mates. i had an office on Georges Stret for 5 years (at the crossroad of King & Georges, actually), but i still dont understand what makes an Aussie bar so different.

I remember something like that, that was about 2 years ago. He was talking about going back working as a welding engineer so maybe he went back to Oz. Used to work with him in UK.

As you say good lad, loved his Jack Daniels so have had a few headaches with him over the years

I saw Darren a couple of days ago, he's back in Oz, got rid of the Kiwi Bar a year or two back. He was over on holiday stopping at the Andaman Sea Guesthouse, not sure how long he's here for (or if he's still here, only saw him long enough for a quick chat)

Yeah I remember Darren, had a few drinks with him........the bar wasn't doing that well and he had an offer of a welding job in South America somewhere, and he managed to negotiate a good package, so he left.

He did say that his missus wasn't that keen so don't know what happened in the end.
