B&S Needs a Renovation

Went there the other night and the place looks like a crap hole. As if they cant afford to renovate.

Someone should tell them to swing by Honest Ed's and buy a box of new towels.Not that I don't love using the ones they have with holes.

Nevertheless the club is not that big of a crap hole. At least the rooms I use were decent, except for the shower door being broken although that's not a big deal.

I don't mind the towels, as long as the towels are clean.
They seemed to get a new batch but they still mix the old towels with them.

I definitly think they should fix the place up.
Some of the changes wouldn't even take much effort or money.
Maybe we should start paying them in Home Depot Gift Certificates.

Whatever and whenever they do something; they should keep the naked women paintings in the Lounge.

i agree with this whole heartedly. i stopped going there cuz it was getting so run down. all it needs is a coat of paint and some new towels and it would be a 100% improvement.

What gets me is the radio playing pretty loud, which is quite annoying especially during commercials. Not very mood-enhancing. Someone please give them some CDs and a CD player. The place has one of my fav girls, but I really wish she would move on to somewhere a little classier.
Those really long shifts they work can't be too easy on the girls.

I don't care what the place looks like.

A new coat of paint won't change my experience. I usually have the lights dimmed a bit and I'm too busy looking at the mpa to notice the walls.

I have never seen a towel with a hole in it and I've been going there once or twice a month for 2 years.

As long as the place is clean that's good enough. The tile floors get mopped (I see ladies doing that from time to time), the showers are always cleaned after each session that I have. And the sheets and towels are always fresh.

Yeah the cue ball has a chip out of it. But the way I look at it I've plunked loonies into tables at bars with tables in much worse condition. The table is free so I can't complain.

As for the radio they usually place retro 80s so that's okay with me. It's funny that commercials were mentioned.... the only time I noticed talking was when it was pointed out to me by the mpa.

I'd be more worried about places that have carpet god knows what's soaked into those things. Also, I'd rather hear the radio then what's going on in another room. I was once at a high end spa where I heard the guy next door moaning and groaning that was horrible. Give me commercials any day.

Well at the end of the day. So long as the price and the service and the cleanliness stay the same I'll keep coming back. No pun intended.

One more thing on my wishlist at Body and Soul:

New arcade games.
I got tired of Ms Pac Man and 1942 when it first came out twenty years ago.
New video games!!
At least put in 1943 or Super Mario.

And a change machine.
What good are video arcade games (and a Coke Machine) if you can't get any change.

(Also, never noticed holes in the towels; just noticed that some are pretty frayed)

Dznutzr4u - I'm not sure where you have been, but we have had new towels for quite a few months now.

Manji - are you really going to a spa to play video games??? If you have such a complaint, why not go to an actual arcade!

AimlessWonderer - the licence has already been renewed.

Mudd Stuffin - As for the radio, well I think I would go crazy listening to 'ocean muzak' or whatever 'spa related' music you might be suggesting, and I have never heard a complaint of the retro music...in fact my clients are so distracted they don't even hear the music anyway

MojoRisin' - just like Manji's complaint - you aren't going to a spa for the pool table anyway, it's just a time waster if you didn't make an appointment and have to wait. Consider the 'faults' of the table as a challenge - and next time make an appointment!


I must say I'm quite dissappointed in you guys for being so negative. B&S is kept quite clean - that is what is important. The rooms are simple - do you need the extra distractions in the rooms - we all know you aren't admiring the mahogany tables when you are visiting anyway! I guess I just don't get it. I don't think any of you would be completely happy anywhere. Just enjoy the experience for what it is - we have some really beautiful ladies working hard to make sure you have a good time.

No, I don't go to a spa to play video games.
But unfortunatly there are times when I'm forced to wait (even when I do book an appointment) and I need something to do while a wait.

You can only stare at the pictures of naked women for so long!!

I don't think I'm being negative and I'm not bashing Body and Soul it just that some people prefer a great atmosphere to go with the great girls and great service.
You don't go to a restaurant just for the food; you also go for the ambiance/atmoshpere.
And nobody is expecting an extreme makeover, we're just hoping for a few simple cosmetic changes.

Magazines and newspapers in the lounge wouldn't hurt either!!

Violet its the overall experience. You always hear guys raving about IT, HFH, SRM etc. some of it has to do with the ambiance. They are classy looking places that give the impression that they care about their place, ladies and customers. I do not go there to play pool but i do like to feel im in a nice clean place when im spending good cash. B&S seems like a warehouse with cheap paint to me. I do care what the place looks like.

And BTW before you get all snotty and suggest I "make an appointment next time" make sure you know whether i did or not. BECAUSE I DID! Lee was late and behind in her appts. That is the spas and attendants fault. It didnt bother me in the least but your attitude really does. You are a good reflection to me of the whole B&S style and attitude. I have no problem with Lee. She was great. But you might want to take it down a notch babe.

Sorry you feel that way Mojo, I wasn't getting 'snotty' I was just making a suggestion based on my understanding of the situation. I didn't think I was portraying attitude, I was just offering my rebuttal to the opposing arguments. Like I said, I was just dissappointed in all the negativity.

While B&S won't win any Interior Design prizes, I certainly wouldn't nominate HFH, SRM or IT either, for all their well-intentioned efforts. Of the spas I've sampled, I'd praise only BP for decor, the success of which only underscores its failure to deliver what B&S does—dingy or not—good service in a well-run place.

I like B&S a lot but I'd have to agree that a little freshening up—from website to real site—would go a long way. It's the continuing effort we notice, like the efforts of Paul, Micron and Kayla, and for all Violet's rapid responses, B&S still feels a bit like my comfy old slippers. Not quite up to 'company' standards any more, tho' just the ticket after a killer day.

My fixit nomination: the hot tub spout in the first room beyond the desk; looks like a leftover kitchen sink spout and fills the tub way too slowly. And I agree about commercials: if I pay for the time, I shouldn't have to endure advertising. CBC Radio Two has none, if CD's are too much trouble. And what ever happened to Chanel…? But that's another post.

And the shower in that room has had a piece of gum on the wall for a year. Dust on the air vents. Back room shower door one is loose at the bottom. Oil stain on a chair, missing tiles, last time I was there I even saw a coke can in the parking lot fer chrissakes, what a rathole. As I pay the rent there I say can the Dr Laura radio and fix the damn lavalamps.

But seriously, the hygiene of the place is fine. It shows it's age in one or two areas, like everything. It wouldn't have the longevity it has if it weren't clean and respectable. But girls are much more interesting topics than towels and pac-man. Highly recommended is Brooke and Cecelia.

Too bad you are disappointed in the negativity but well your customers have spoken and most feel the decor is a dumpy. The ladies and service may be great. Fine. People are just saying it looks and feels dumpy! Maybe its time for a facelift. Do you think B&S looks nice? Gum on the walls for years, stained furniture and walls? And your attitude in assuming i didnt have an apt and then telling me to make one before next time? LOL you got that all wrong sister! That was a truly snotty remark. You arent helping with the B&S image here in my opinion
