Baby Reflex

Hi all, a question for those trained in Baby Reflex......Is it very popular with mums?? The reason I ask is that I have gone off on the preconception, pregnancy, postnatal route and thought that maybe this would be a nice addition. It wasn't around when my babies were tiny, it was baby massage then and I can't quite work out if it will be popular or not.

I did this course a couple of years ago and although I enjoyed the course I have had little interest with it despite promoting it. Our local health visitors/childrens centres provide baby massage for free so why would they pay for baby reflex......

I did baby massage nearly 10 years ago and it incorporates some baby reflexology and baby yoga.

I used to be swamped with bookings but since the local sure starts are offering it, haven't had much call for it.

But, as so pleased that I have this, and would definitely recommend baby massage.

Baby reflexology sounds like a gimmick to be honest.

Baby reflex is in it's infancy at the minute and will grow. I can honestly say it's not a gimmick - it's an amazing course and very very beneficial to babys and mums - I have a 3 day case study on my own baby with photos - please PM me and I will forward it on if you would like to read it.

I also teach a monthly baby massage course and I am always busy with it, I always let the mums know at the end about baby reflex.

In a nutshell the classes for mums are over 3 weeks for about 1/1/2 hours, it's like baby massage classes but you show the mums how to work on the reflexes on their feet and the little ones only have a 5 minute treatment about 3 times a day. The colon reflex alone is very powerful on little feet......

I can't recommend it highly enough and would suggest you find out more by contacting babyreflex.co.uk or reading the amazing book by Kevin and Barbara Kunz called Reflexology for Children.

I didn't take the training with 'Baby Reflex', but did design and set up my own Baby Reflexology courses which were very successful. However I found it difficult to keep running the courses as I could only take up to 4 mum with babies at a time, and often one or more would cancel very short notice because baby was ill/had a dr's appt/breastfeeding clinic, etc etc. I think the early days of new motherhood can prove busy and difficult to make a commitment to a set course. So for now I've put my Baby Reflexology classes on hold but will happily teach it to parents individually.

I'd be interested to hear how others have got on with arranging Baby Reflexology classes.
