I have a bit of a wonky back which was diagnosed many moons ago - the lower discs in my spine tilt backwards rather than sitting straight.
Every now and again I get severe pain in my lower back and legs with shooting pains into my neck and on 4 occassions my back has gone into spasm and "locked" completely so that I couldn't move at all. This wears off after about 20-30 minutes but it can be scary and I have really bad backache (like a severe headche feeling) for several days after these episodes. Sometimes I can feel my back start to spasm/cramp so I have to stand still and very gently stretch so it doesn't lock.
I do the back strengthening exercises given to me by the Physio and I am trying to lose weight. I also try to sit and walk correctly and I avoid lifting if I can!
Can anyone recommend anything which will either strengthen my back or any general advice which may help me?
