Back Magic - Have you tried it?

Hi folks,

I have had a sore back for as long as I can remeber, the doctor did x-rays and said "Well you have a twisted disk not much we can do".

I bought this thing called Back Magic. Its two bits of really strong plastic and you put them together and they form a sort of arch. You then lie on it for a few minutes and it stretches your back and puts it back into alignment.

I was dubious as most people with back pain will understand, but I have to say it really works for me. Its the first time I have had relief in years.

Just thought I would share this with you all as it might help someone else.

Hi,

Glad you have found something to alleviate the back pain. My yoga teacher found some swimming floats that she's cut up into spine size pieces and they are just great to lie on - as it gives the muscles a gentle stretch. You place the roll on the floor align it with your spine and just lie on it for a short time and just feel those muscles ease. So good to get relief from aches and pains.

did a quick "google" on back magic and found them on QVC ( american)

looking at them there are very similar products avalable from good yoga
suppliers usually described as a back arch.

would strongly reccommend getting advice on how to adjust as use one from good yoga teahcer before getting one
you could try out just making a back support from several pillows or blankets and laying over them with head support if necessary important thing is to keep the spine in its correct alignment without any twists or deviations

Hi Treacle,

I got mine on QVC UK it was about 16 quid. The good thing about getting it from them is that you can try it out for 30 days and if you dont get on with it then you can send it back and get your money back.

I belive it was developed by a pilates instructor and it has a space in the middle so the spine is not touched in any way.
