Hi
I have fortunatly found a cure for my back pain when I can be bothered, I know that sounds very ignorant as alot of people would give there right arm for a cure. I think alot of the pain was down to very bad posture , pelvic tilt and lateral weakness,
there is a Yoga out there called bikram yoga wich is done in a room of 104 degrees , this makes the flexiblity alot easier as the core body temp is very similar to this, the reason this yoga is so good is because it was designed for someone who was recovering from a very bad back injury, so the moves help to strenghten most of the core muscles and help to release alot of tighness in the hamstrings which could also be a factor in pelvic tilt, so you get a double whammy of increased strength of the core and increased flexiblity, I also found that working the lower abs in conjunction with your inner thigh ( these two work together)also helped alot with the lateral weakness and back pain, to do this you need lie on your back on the floor, with your feet clasping a medicine ball, place another medicine ball between your knees and squeeze hard, then perform as many sit ups as you can then rest and repeat 3 times, this excersise also works the hip flexors which is somtimes guilty of being weak and inhibited in ref to pelvic tilt.
the yoga combined with this excerise helps alot. however to find this type of yoga you will have to live in either london, brighton, leicester or buy the book and do it in your conservatory like me. in the summer I can get it to 120 degrees !
