Back Pain!

Help please
I am just finishing off one of my case studies for my ITEC massage exam, my tutor has told me to read up on the affects that being on crutches for a period of time has on the back and shoulder areas. I have looked on the net to no avail. The person that I massaged has had back pain and shoulder pain and the massage has worked really well but I have to write it in detail for the examiner and make it look interesting.
Can anyone help me with this. I thought I had written my case study quite well but obviously not, am now panicking!!

I have massaged someone in similar condition and I also have back problems.
The affects of using crutches will cause lots of tension in the neck, top shoulders, lower arms and wrists. What you need to do is to massage gently for the first two occasions and then build up, by the third session they usually ask you to do it a little stronger. Then after that session if they are ok and have no effects treat as normal. Neck, top shoulders and arms are the strategic points. If their legs drag, lower back. For lower back pain if you are using aromatherapy oils try juniper. Cheap gin with lots of the juniper source still in is an old fashioned recipe for lower back pain - taken medicinally that is!! It has saved me from banging my head in agony. Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply. I will try on that case study again! Am up to my ears in case studies and have to do a presentation on Friday so feel like my head is spinning at the moment.
