Back to School

It is settled. I am going back to school.....I know I have said it before, but this time I mean it. Class starts Jan. 30th. So I am going to do what I can to get into that class.

I will be attending the IPSB.....It is a great school. I am working towards working with the elderly.

IPSB is now my favorite school in San Diego. That is great that you are interested in working with seniors! I loved my Feldenkrais class with John Economos. The Sensory Repatterning, Myofascial and Neuromuscular classes are awesome and would be appropriate for your target clientele.

What is Feldekrais?

Feldenkrais was developed by Moshe Feldenkrais. His method consists of two branches,Awareness through movement and Functional Intergration. Awareness had to be experienced;and therefore, participants accomplished movements and postures they thought unattainable,producing greater vitality. The work attempts to offset gravity,returning a participant to an early childhood state, undoing emotional/cultural programming.

Once when I was suffering from bad lower back pain, someone who had taken Feldenkrais teachings showed me an exercise called the Feldenkrais clock, which was fantastic, and I return to from time to time. Feldenkrais seems definitely worth finding out more about as an authentic healing bodywork.

Yay for going back to school, & especially IPSB. I attend the IPSB in Culver City and love it love it love it. I know they branched off a while back, but the concepts that the schools are based on are awesome.
