I don't really know how to start, i don't really talk about my back problems because people seem to think i'm exagerating. I'm 18 years old, and have been on crutches for nearly a year, this is when people think i'm exagerating. I was in a tiny bus accident on the 4th April, and after this i began to get pains in my legs and in my feet, so i went to my local doctors and was told i'd pulled a muscle.. therefore needed to rest. So i did, and it got worse, so i went to casualty instead and they gave me x-rays, and nothing was found so gave me physio, after 4 sessions i stopped going because of how much pain it was causing me. They questionned this, the sessions were all within a week.
but i went to casualty and kept going, in the end they gave me an MRI.. in about July, then in august i was called back and told i had 3 prolapsed disks, they told me that they could operate and remove the disks and i would be able to walk and it would be sorted especially as i've never had any back problems before..
Now on the 28th December they called me back, and told me that i had Arthiritus also at the base of my spine, therefore nothing could be done, i am waiting to see MR Jaffrey (meant to be top 5 in uk), because he is going to decide an alternative therapy for my back, because they do not want to operate now, they tell me i may have 5 years before i end up being paralayzed. I'm not entirely sure what to do, i never thought that the small bus accident would come to this.
