Can a car seat cause problems?

Im selling my car as i find the seat very uncomfortable to sit in. Anyone else found this problem?
Its a BMW 318is coupe so the seats are very hard and bucket style. I did my back when i was 21 (im 30 in july) after being in a motorbike crash, i was given physio for a bulging disc which was fine after a few months but suffered from bouts of scaitic (spelling?) pain.

I did my back last year the gym and have not been pain free since. I say the car seat is not helping. I drive for 1.5 to 2 hours a day.

When i get to work in the morning i can am in real pain getting out the car or is that just the norm for me now?
