Sorry this is short notice but I only found out about this last night. I think many people will know Don of Kangaroo Bar fame, the master of the barbeque, he catered at Bill's birthday bash at Summer Breeze. Don is opening his own bar on Nanai road and is throwing a party / barbeque tonight he told me everyone is welcome. The bar is at the south end of Nanai Road next to the open air restaurants and market.

Maybe not. The name of the bar is "Dons Aussie Barbeque" the sign outside is a big Aussie flag. I think he may have pitched this at the right audience, a place to get a good feed and did I forget to mention ALL BEERS 50 Baht.

I walked past the other night when the party was on, unless it was the 'soft opening'. The usual freeloaders that seem to be at any bar opening were in abundance, strange you never see them again til you walk past the next bar with an opening night- parasites, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Best of luck to Don though- his food is lush and the new place is only 200m away from my pad. Aroi mak.

Was in the neighborhood, didn't go inside. Looks like a nice place and seemed to have a good crowd there. I'll have to put it on the list of things to do, places to go... :rules:

The other little restaurants at Mae Ubon have been doing well lately, and this seems like a good location for his biz. And adds a bit of farang food variety to the area as well.
