Bar Camelot

Anybody been to Bar Camelot recently. It's been over a year for me.

For those that haven't heard of Bar Camelot it's a tico place with some real good talent at times southwest of the Presidente and on the first street south of Paseo Colon.

Don't know the bar but maybe you can help me. I'm usually good with directions but I can't figure which way is north, south ect. in SJ.

Bar Camelot is a great spot for a mid afternoon cerveza...they open around 3 pm ...talent always varies (like most Tico bars) but some times you can find a real gem.
It has been a couple of years since I used the facilities upstairs...the price was around 5 to 6000 col for a half hour session. I am sure that it hasn`t changed much.

The location is on ave 4 between calle 3 and 5 .

Just remember that the Juan Santamaria airport is north of town. That works in parts of town you know. I got crossed up in a grocery store in Escazu years ago and tried to use the sun. It didn't help, because it was straight up.
I bought a compass, but rarely carry it.

So that's how people post duplicate messages. Where the sun is at dawn doesn't help much at noon in a strange part of town. I always remember that Calle 42 becomes the General Canas highway, and fit that with the grid. Also, you could remember which neighborhood around la Sabana is where. I used to stay in Sabana Sur. If you don't know town though, you'll never find stuff with Tico directions.

Not exactly set on the Cardinal headings, Calles run Northeast/Southwest, Ave run East/West.


90% of the time you land on runway 16 at SJO airport. That would be a SE heading into town as your cab leaves the airport.

Put simply, from Ground Zero, BM... Zona Blue is a point to the North. Kinda like a North Star for you Puzzy Pointer.

Camelot

The Bar Camelot is still a TICO Bar and going strong for a beer. Still 5000C for a girl. There is usually only one girl in there and not worth 5000. I suppose if you go in there every day for a month or two you might find that diamond, which I did 4 years ago. Haven't seen one since. For directions: All churchs face west, there maybe exceptions. The airport is also west, not north. SEAHAWK

Actually there are exceptions all over the country and relying on the old fable that ALL churches face west can get you very lost.

If I run into you will be glad to draw you a map so you can find the church near Coca Cola that faces EAST.

If you are going to get all bent out of shape about a reply to a post of yours do not use ALL and then EXCEPTION when speaking of the same thing, they are a contradiction in terms.
