I heard that to, that Larry (Rock Hard) rented Rio for 5 years to a Russian. But the deputy mayor is there every evening and says he owns/rents the place. I asked him if he sold Safari, the answer was negative.

That won't happen as there are too may Bangkok policy makers who wont allow it to happen for the sake of their reputation and buying face in their new positions;

the Governor and I know him does not carry that weight; whilst I would love it if it happened he will just not pull it off ;

although he may pull off some other things

My Police Friend tells me that The Top Cops from Bangkok will be down at the Banthai Hotel near Starbucks again in December for their Xmas party ( I met them all last year and have a few business cards which I have felt act like a 'Get Out Of Jail Card' for driving offenses) so expect to see some fireworks and mischief.

If the bars are open 24/7 it would allow those people who are a bit frightened of the Beach Road after dark to go out a bit earlier, thus allowing them to head back to thier hotels in daylight and lock thier doors!
