Bars near the Mercure Patong

Will be over in April/May this year to spend 6 nights at the Mercure Patong, 4 nights in Surin Beach and then off to Krabi for the last 5 nights.

I will have my GF with me and was wondering if there are any late opening bar areas around where the Mercure is located.
Have been to Patong before, but stayed in the Burasari, so was pretty close to all bar areas.

As I am not quite sure of the Mercure location in relation to the normal late areas, I just wondered what was around that area that might be worth a visit, rather than heading into Bangla every night.

mecure is very close the burasari it's on the back road (rat-u-tit), so the bar options will be the same, otop bars will be the closest.

Thanks Snowy, when I was there last time we drank in some of the bars on the main road at the top of Bangala (two black sheep for one) and some of the others down past there towards where the open air seafood places are.

Was better to take my GF down there than try and drag her round Bangala, but did have a great night in a bar called the Blarnystone.
Apparently the guy that owned the bar (Think his name was John) used to live close to where she comes from in Dublin.
On the night we went it was her birthday the day after, and after her having far to many scotches, it was a very interesting boat trip across to Phi Phi early next morning.

Also liked to have early evening drinks in the open air bar that was down by Molly Malone's on Beach Road.
