A couple weeks ago, my massage therapist at the chiropractor tried out Biofreeze on my lower back...she used it almost like one would use regular lotion. It numbed the area and felt pretty good.
Fast forward. Monday was a cold day in Pennsylvania, and I had already been cold all day. On top of it, MT's hands were cold, and when I mentioned I liked Biofreeze last time, she applied it again. This time she applied it was nearer to the middle of my back and she didn't rub it in as much. IT WAS FREEZING! The room was already cold, and I truthfully was shivering from it. She put a blanket over me and worked on other things, but honestly, I couldn't relax, and honestly, it ruined the massage completely. I would have rather her rubbed it in more and maybe the cold would have went away, but leaving it alone made it worse. It took me a drive home plus another 20 minutes to finally heat up again....I was still shivering a little on the ride home. Anyhow, totally messed up the massage and next time I use Biofreeze it will be in June or July when it is hot out....
