Is anyone familiar with this chain? Anyone here work for or ever work for them? They are looking for a massage therapist at one of their stores and I submitted my resume. I had an initial interview and have to return next Monday for a technical interview with the head honcho.

Hoping to supplement my income while I build clients at the gym. 8)

This has happened before. Because we receive answers to 99% of our questions on MassagePlanetL, we start to believe that we (as a group) know everything! : Simply not true, as posts like this remind us. Massagechick, keep updating this thread on your interview process & employment if you accept the position. Maybe you can help others who have the same question in the future. Thank you all for your replies. Probably was just in a mood that day.

The weathermen are talking about icy weather moving in the day of my technical interview Monday. I am hoping it holds off until afternoon.

Well, I went yesterday and did my technical interview while the branch manager (think this was her title) was in town. She said I had a wonderful disposition and gave an excellent massage. She offered me a position but I need to get my license. She gave me two weeks to do this.

Stopped by the school I went to and got a package telling the steps and forms to do this. Sounds like a lot of running around the city to get this accomplished. :shock:

When she found out I worked out of a gym she said they had a non compete policy and if I wanted the job would have to quit. I would hate to leave Cindy at the gym. Didn't know to ask if the non compete was only while working there or for after I leave also. Also would be working weekends and some nights. Not my ideal but I understand that is when they get the most clients.

Now my license obtaining adventure begins.

I hope you'll start a thread about your licensing adventure in the State, County, etc. Section. Maybe it will help someone else who lives in your area in the future.

Good luck on that. I've heard it can be a little tough in some cities.

I'd be greatly interested in what the no-compete clause looks like. One just opened up this past weekend about 45 minutes from my house and I've thought about applying to supplement my income.
