best + cheapest way to get from bangkok to chanthaburi?

i have no idea!when i arrive in bangkok i guess i will stay the night in a hotel if its late and then leave for chanthaburi the following day.
whats the best way to get there and a way that doesnt cost to much.
also whats the best way for phuket to chanthaburi?

First off Cheapest and best doesn't work. You want the best way, it would be hire a taxi to take you, but that's not the cheapest. Going to Bangkok and taken a bus from Ekkmai Bus Terminal or a little more expensive a van from Victory Monument. As for going to Phuket again cheapest and best doesn't work. The cheapest is bus to Bangkok, then go to the Southern Bus terminal and get a night bus to Phuket, it takes about 12 hours, or the best fly to Phuket in 1 hour and 10 minutes with one of the budget airlines. Go by bus. Total distance is 271kms. Bus will cost you a few hundred Baht.
Best way from Chanthaburi to Phuket is bus back to BKK, then by air from BKK, 1 hour-15 minutes.
