Best place to buy hot towel cabinet?

Hey folks,

I'm considering purchasing a hot towel cabi. Any tips on used versus new, specific model, where to buy? I'd like the best deal possible obviously

I just need to heat hand towels... not doing any major spa stuff.

As an aside, why do the cabis all have to be so... unstylish? I feel like I'm going to have to buy a cabinet in which to keep my hot towel cabinet, i.e. behind closed doors!

A friend liked the one I purchased from ebay. Mine is a double unit which I paid about $125 for. My friend doesnt do ebay, so she bought a double unit from MW and paid about $175 for it.

These two units look about the same sized on the outside, but when you open the doors, the inside dimensions of mine is twice the inside dimension of hers.

Ebay has some single chamber units starting at around $110 shiping included.

The reason I wanted a double chambered unit is so I can have one for wet and one for dry. The wet has damp towels and the dry has socks and eye packs.

Josh, that cabinet appears to be the same company that made mine. The picture doesnt show the drip tray, but the description says it includes a defrost tray to catch drips. : Too funny!

It looks like the ones they use at IDI out here, different voleforum.xxxe, but they've been using them for years at IDI, so assume they are reliable.

I think generally hot towle cabis are pretty problem free - there are no moving parts, no delicate bits to break, it's just the heating element. About the only issue I've heard about is some makes are hotter than other makes - some only warm the towels. Mine makes them so hot you need to flap the towels around for a second before putting on the face. It heats up to 75degC (someone else can do the conversion to degF...)

The hot ones are good if you're using the towel almost as a steamer on the skin, but you probably don't need them that hot for general body treatments. You can always flap a HOT towel around to cool it down, there is no way to heat a warm towel up. With the warm only, you usually have to put the towels in after warming them in hot water and they will stay warm, they're not good for warming up from cold damp towels.
