Best pubs/bars for pint of Brit brew

Staying in the Bang Tao Beach area ...but ...Have Money Will Travel ! :^^:

I live in the Japanese hinterland and have been deprived of a pint of the good stuff for far too many moons .

You can get a nice pint in Molly Malones on Beach road , Patong...

Yeah, Molly's is a great place for a pint and is very well run too. Scruffy Murphy's on Bang La Road is similar.

If you go to Molly Malones, check out the menu too! Great food and huge servings!

There is a sports bar at the Laguna area, Peppers Bar, Pepper's Bar - Sports Bar, Tex Mex Restaurant in Laguna Phuket, Thailand

I have not been inside, just passed by. You wont miss it, on the way into or out of Laguna.

If you are in Patong, you can try the Molly Malones like the other members mentioned. They have Guinness on Tap, i think it's 250 Baht per pint.

molly malones has great aircon! a nice relief to pop into for a beer ,or 3 after sweating a bucket walking down beach road!

as the others guys said Molly Malone's on Beach Rd & Scruffy Murfs on Bangla - both in Patong are good for a pint or 2.
but nothing wrong with Singha or Tiger, that's what i normally drink when there(when in Rome do as the Romans Do) even though yr in LOS.

The thing is . I'm stuck with a steady diet of lager here in Japan . Kirin makes a dark beer , but it tastes like crapola .

I've always been a lover of English / Irish ales , bitters , stouts , etc...and knew there must be some good places in Phuket where once could enjoy a nice pint or two of the good stuff .

Not really a " sports bar " kinda guy .

i'am not too sure what other british/irish beers they sell, but i know 4 sure they sell Guinness at Molly's & Scruffy's,

Guinness on Tap, dont know if they still have Kilkenny on Tap or not.

In Cans they have Blackthorn Cider, Natch Cider and Old English Cider.

BBs-Have Kilkenny I think
Peppers is nice also-has cans of various bitters- is a decent place
Surin Bay Inn may have western brews also- but not sure (good food here)
Scruffies and Mollies also.
But prob is that this is all pressurised/pasteurised stuff- not true "real ale". Would love it if there was a microbrewery in Phuket-would be fantastic-bit like Londoner in Bangkok. I think that will be my project in 5 yrs time when I retire from my present job.

Most 7-11 stores in Japan sell Kilkenny and Guiness now so should be no problem. Or there is always Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Sapporo, Okinawa, Sendai cities where you will find a pub with what you need. If you can find it in Phuket you should be able to find it in Japan.
