best way to introduce my cat to my newborn?

so i'm due for my baby any day now and my cat is VERY attached to me, wants to be at my side where ever i go- i recently had my freinds 1 year old around her and my cat did not like her- now to be fair to my cat the little girl was pulling and tugging on her hair, tail etc. but my cat swat at the girl- no scratches because i put caps on her claws and the girl didn't get scared but still a little unsettling thinking she may be like this with my baby- my mom says she may not because my baby will be there from the beginning and have my smell but are there any good techniques to introduce them or concerns i should have? i'm afraid i've spoiled her too bad, she's been an "only child" so long.

Since she is attached to you all the time and knows who you are, she will definitely know that the baby is yours, especially since you have a giant bulge coming out of your stomach and will come back one day with no bulge and a baby in your hands.
Let her smell her and explore her. She won't swat at the baby unless it's bothering her, and your baby won't be old enough to bother your cat until about 1 year old. Never leave them alone without your supervision and when your daughter is old enough to understand, tell her the proper way of playing with a cat.
