Better or worse then previous years?

We still got a few more days but I was wondering how GC sales have been for everyone.

Mine are down. I had one person buy a large sum and that helped though.

Good thing, I noticed that most of last years have been redeemed!

Sales up for me. Business is up overall.

We are up on average 5 appointments each week from last year, and last I checked, Last year we sold $6900 in gift certificates, and this year we sold $9099.50 (seriously, can't someone just even it out with a couple of extra quarters?) So we are thrilled! We keep track of the names, and I noticed many names of clients that we haven't seen in a while - I am sure they are people who had to quit coming in due to finances, and their families are trying to give them something they have had to give up. While we have lost a lot of clients due to the economy, we have been fine tuning our marketing efforts and it seems to be paying off.

This December are seeing an interesting trend: people aren't coming in for as many massages as they did last year, but we are selling much more in gift cards intended for others. : 8)

I suspect that January and February will be busier than usual with gift card redemptions!
