Between sunset and party time

I was wondering: what does a single male traveler who comes to Patong without friends do between the time it gets dark and the time the party starts. I read that you should not bother to go to MTB before 10pm. Other places like discos probably do not fill up till midnight.
So if you have no one to hang with what are you supposed to do to bridge the gap between beach and party. I mean can't shower and eat for 3+ hours.
And don't say drink a few beers cause I'm a pussy when it comes to drinking. 4 bottles and I'm gone. The low tolerance lies in my family, both my parents never drank and when my brother comes over for dinner we manage to get wasted on one bottle of wine. Cheap but sometimes really embarrassing.

Lots of the street stalls are opening on Rat-u-thit as it gets dark.

Eat and give it time to settle before heading out.

Afternoon Movie then a snooze.

Swim in the pool.

That should be OK for your first night and then by then you should have someone to keep you occupied prior to going out!

If you are 'Mongering' just repeat all the above but get up later! :idea:

Shouldn't take more than 1 or 2 days to make friends. A good place to hang out between 8 and 10 is at the bar next to the pizza place on Bangla. Sit on the sidewalk drinking cheap beer or coke watching the street transform. Plus the way the seating is structured, you'll have plenty of people to chat with...
