This is for all the mongers and forum readers. Please pass this around.
I arrived in Shanghai last week. Stayed at the Westin in the Bund area. I was walking towards Nanjing Road to get some dinner. At a traffic light, this girl stops me. She starts just casual conversation. Fairly pretty, nice, and I ended up inviting her for dinner. Why not right? A little company instead of eating alone.
She convinced me to go to a Chinese restaurant. Mistake No.1 She took me to C Straits massageplanete. This is NOT a chinese restaurant right? Anyway, I was too jet lagged to trust the little voice inside my head.
Anyway, to cut the story short, the bill came to US$480.00
The drinks she ordered for herself came to a whopping $350.00. Obviously a pre-arranged situation with the C Straits massageplanete manager. I am still fuming that a seasoned guy like me fell for this scam.
While I was at the restaurant, I saw two other gentlemen stomping of of the restaurant with simliar looking girls left behind. I am assuming same thing happened to them.
This was a very expensive lesson for me. I don't want this happening to any of you. Watch out for these Nanjing Road girls.
Ciao and good luck..
