bg scene

Hey guys,

I'm coming to patong for about 10 days around the first week of April. I'm planning on doing a lot of diving, and just had a question about something...I'm not exactly sure about the bg scene for myself and was just wondering if its possible to goto a bar and just hang out and have a few drinks without being harassed by bgs? or is that just a misconception that you get harrassed? i dunno, i mean i think for about 5-6 days i'm gonna be calling it a night quite early because of the early diving...any input would help...thanks guys

as for diving may i sugest a liveaboard to the similian islands , great diving , gorgeous reefs ,a school of residents sharks and some times manta rays .

Just relax in places like the Kangaroo or Champs.. Watch the world go by on Bangla.. Loads you can do right in the heart of Patong without having girl hassle..
