Best treatment for Bicipital Tendonitis is to first find out why the person is experiencing the tendonitis. Typically, this is caused through an inability of the GH to track properly in the Glenoid Fossa. Whether this is initiated through trauma or long term postural damage, for massage therapists, it typically comes to treating the soft tissue and aiding in realigning the joint.
Usually from what I have seen in a sports/athletic point of view, is that spasm of the rotator cuff muscles is a key area of inpingement, with the Subscapularis being the main cuplrit, followed by the Supraspinatus and finally the infraspinatus and teres minor. Treat these muscles, preferably in that order and see how it feels. The subscap will be very sore.
Examples: I have had several clients have trouble performing Bench Press exercises. I had them perform the movement, and they experienced pain. I treated the subscap ONLY, and then had them try again. Pain Free. I have more specific information if you would like, just message me.
