Bike Week Events

Here is the latest, and I hope the final on bike week...VERY PLEASE to see that CC Riders have been well advised to leave their toys at home on play water night...As previously stated my money would be on the Tuk Tuk Drivers for the action that might have, and is till not over, problems for road space!
Here is their posting!
13th April 2003
- Get wet and celebrate the Songkran Festival (Thai New Year) during the
day. Advisable to keep your precious bike at the hotel because of heavy
traffic and water splashing.
6.30 p.m.
- Welcome party at Nicky’s Handlebar Patong.
- Free buffet from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. A time to mingle and see a familiar
faces from the yesteryear bike week. Good music and a lot of fun.

14th April 2003
- Bikers free time during day. Do whatever pleases you.
5 p.m.
- Bikers for gather at Ban Thai Patong for buffet dinner (300 baht inclusive
of 1 free beer, live music entertainment) Please be informed that this is a
limited entry for bikers, so remember to purchase tickets early.
6.30 p.m.
- Rev up your engine and proceed to the Official Opening Party in Soi
Bangla. We promised lots of fun filled entertainments such as live bands,
contests, cabaret show, lot of girls, lot of beers and etc.
- Free entrance. A levy of 100 baht per bike will be imposed for parking and
security.

15th April 2003
10 a.m.
Poker run around Phuket Island.
- Bikers to gather at the football field in Patong Beach along the road.
- Participatien fees of 500 baht per person. Proceeds will go to charity
(50%) and the rest will be for the besthand and runner-up.
7 p.m.
- Phuket Bike Week Official Party in Soi Bangla, Patong.
- Live bands, bikers show, bike contest, Miss Phuket Bike Week 2003 contest,
bike games and etc.
- Charity programmes.
- Closing ceremony.

16th April 2003
