Wauwatosa, Wis. – Two local businesses, both focused on improving the health and quality of life for seniors and people with disabilities, have formed a strategic alliance to help elderly and disabled residents remain in their homes safely and comfortably.
Bridgeway Independent Living Designs (BILD), Wauwatosa, which provides products and design services focused on accessibility, is partnering with Spa Massage on the Go, Bay View, the area’s leader (and pioneer) in delivering mobile, on-site therapeutic massage services.
Both firms provide solutions that help elderly and disabled residents stay in their homes, even if their physical condition worsens. BILD updates living spaces with products such as grab bars, door openers, stair lifts and wheelchair ramps. Spa Massage on the Go provides treatment that enhances flexibility and wellness, improving patients’ overall health and mobility.
“The goal at BILD is to keep our customers safe and comfortable in their homes,” said Edward Still, BILD’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “Spa Massage on the Go provides value when it is hard for people to leave the home, by providing comfort and relief with massage therapy.”
The licensed massage therapists at Spa Massage on the Go travel to where patients live, and adapt to their level of mobility. Clients can be treated in a wheelchair or hospital bed, if needed. Massage therapy can provide relief for a plethora of health conditions that commonly afflict seniors and people with disabilities: strokes, joint replacements, diabetes, arthritis, surgery recovery, cancer, terminal illness and general discomfort.
“Our alliance with BILD brings a whole new dimension to our work,” said Jessica Dragan, owner of Spa Massage on the Go. “We’re proud to partner with such a reputable, well-established company that shares a mission of keeping people healthy in the spaces where they are most comfortable.”
