Perhaps you work has been cracking down, your deadlines getting as tight as your budget, and your vacations never seem long enough. It's true: You're in need of some very well-deserved R&R. Well, now, there's a new same-day, massage-on-demand service housed under one cool app. Aptly called Soothe, it just launched in Manhattan but is already available in 13 other cities, from Seattle to Washington, D.C.
So how does it work? There's a network of more than 1800 licensed massage therapists who have been vetted (somebody must be seriously relaxed) and certified by the company to provide restorative Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, or Couples massages with as little as 60 minutes' notice. Strong-armed masseuses are ready with their tables to arrive at your waterfront San Diego lair or your Austin Airstream and iron our all your kinks for 60, 90, or even 120 minutes from 8am to midnight.

Like an OpenTable for massages, the site and app allow you to rate your therapists and re-book with the one who knew exactly how to unravel that kink in your left shoulder. Rates of $99, $139, or $169 include tip, so there's no awkward exchange of money. Added bonus: therapists typically make more through Soothe clients than if they worked at a traditional spa.
Download the app so you can book your next massage on the go (or even in the comfort of your own home). Your friendly massage therapist will be waiting to get rid of the stress before Monday arrives.
