Brampton passes no nude bylaw?

I just came from a nice session with Cara at Allure. She tells me a massage friend of hers (from Brandy's) was at the Brampton City Council meeting this week when they passed 8-2 revisions in the bylaws making nude massage illegal in Brampton... effective immediately! Wonder if anyone has more detailed information?

The friend supposedly had raised the issue that in order to change the bylaw their owners of effected businesses had to be given 8 weeks notice of a meeting. But some women said that was not the case, that they could pass it immediately. It was also suggested that owners were not contacted and this was slipped in to avoid what happened in Mississauga recently.

There is no information posted about this on the Brampton City web site yet. I see there was a Council meeting on May 26th but the details have not yet been posted as they are for prior meetings regarding any actions.

According to Cara when went to the last such discussion of the Mississauga Council where they made the same no nude proposal it was defeated due to well represented MP workers who made strong arguments why it was not in the city's best interest to make it illegal such as forcing it underground, no way to police underground body rubs, loss of income from licensing to the city, likely to bring in "organized crime" or my seedy folks, drugs etc. In fact a Moral's officer testified AGAINST making nudity illegal in the Mississauga clubs. It looks like nudity in Mississauga is safe but Brampton may be another story if the report Cara at Allure has received is accurate.

With not a whole lot on TV Tuesday, I came across the Brampton City Council meeting on Rogers' cable 10.

When the spa owner was given her time to speak her piece, she didn't seem very well-prepared. She stuttered a lot, and was having dificulty reading her own handwriting. She made the argument that not allowing nude massage would create the problem of underground parlours, and was told "So what? If it's illegal, it's against the law. It's not our problem, let the police deal with it".

I commend Micron for having the backbone for standing up for something she believes in. I only hope she wasn't alone in her fight. It's unfortuate that the City of Brampton had seemingly already made up their mind prior to the meeting. All they had to do is use their neighbour Mississauga as an example. Mississauga has the situation well under control. Anyways, I don't think this fight is done yet.

If it was this easy to pass the bylaw, I wonder whose next? The SC's maybe?

One final note: I'm trying to figure out what value jh69jh96 was trying to add by announcing to the world about someone stuttering? I can guarantee you she wasn't ill-prepared. Next time, think before you post!

Krystal at SRM is well prepared for this new bylaw.
She has jewellery.

The bylaw might cover the nudity issue in detail.
So the shoes/socks idea might not work.

I know the bylaws for Toronto discuss body parts quite specifically. They are in no way vague.

I think this by-law is totally stupid and they just don't know how to lighten up and have a good time. LOL

First of all I heard before in the news that in the 70's there were only a few massage parlours and they were all in downtown Toronto. Now there are tons all through Mississauga and Brampton alone, and they get more business then those in downtown Toronto.

I think if they resort to this new no-fun rule regarding nudity then obviously a lot of business will be lost but there will be those that try and take chances and hopefully they won't get caught.

I honestly don't think it will last and hopefully this doesn't happen anywhere else.

Virtually no city alllows nudity and customer has to have "dirty parts" covered. Phoenix arrests MT's for "massaging to arouse"

I would get physically sick everytime I talked about it or thought about it. After that happened though I just sat and cried because with all that goes on in this world they have nothing to do but harrass someone who is being a friend and giving love to people.

Almost all my sessions ended up being therapy sessions where my clients just wanted to escape from life and unwind.. I can't tell you how many calls I would receive the next day where clients would thank me for just taking the extra time to listen and give them some kindness.

I'm so disgusted by our society and what people view as "Bad". I hope that before I leave this world things will drastically change. We all just want to be able to live comfortably, be at peace , and experience true love, is that such a crime? Anyways thank you for doing this website at least I know I'm not alone and that other people "Get it" too.

Such is the lack of sexual freedoms in the U.S. and it gets worse every year with well financed Christian groups the largest having the stated goal of "helping 1000 cities across America pass laws that will be upheld outlawing adult entertainment". They have been sadly very succesful all over the U.S.

Be glad you do have the sexual freedoms you do enjoy in Canada, especially outcall escorts being totally legal vs totally illegal in the U.S.

If an MPA is not a great performer she gets sent away.

Being a former Bramptonian I totally understand what the city is doing. Understand yes.. but I would be pissed if I was still living there. There are a lot of hidden gems up in Brampton. I have found memories of April at that place on Orenda who gave me my first BS...."TEAR". The people of this board must have a voice.

I have lusted after Micron from the first time I met her at one of the massageplanet.net meet and greets.

Not only is she a very beautiful woman (yes with slight speech impediment) but she is a very intelligent woman.

AND she is a very good business woman.
I believe she will land on her feet no matter what.

This whole situation re-enforces the stupidity and Victorianistic ways of our province. No happy hours at bars, rediculously low speeds on Highspeed Motorways, guilty until proven innocent if want have a few beers after work and get yourself home, now this.

Let me give you an example of the ultimate of stupidity.
I just came back from a business trip to Edmonton.
In a nudie bar it is against the law for the naked entertainer to get within 3 feet of the customer another naked entertainer (no girl/girl action ever).

BUT, you can get FULL SERVICE in the massage parlours.
Not ever girl,but apparently most, and the one I visited (twice) was incredible - a nice room, a hot tub and a beautiful woman, heaven.

I grew up in the Brampton area.
As I have always said - Brampton, a good place to be from!

The question I have is how much longer will we wait before other Munucipalities follows Brampton's lead...my guess is that the same by-law will apply in Toronto & Mississauga within 3-6 months.....on the positive side I expect this should increase demand for private (outcall and or incall) massage SP's.....
