Client broke a piece off around deltiod tuberosity. limited rom, all those muscles tight, sore to touch, ect. Everything you would expect in this situation.

Any advice would be appriciated.

Gentle upward stroking on the lower part of the arm if tolerated will help with lower arm swelling/edema... In school we learned that stroking above and below any injury/surgical site/break will help blood and lymph flow through the area rather than around it which helps cause swelling which in turn can add to pain and pressure that is not tolerated well.

Gentle massage to upper back and across the upper traps and neck to ease tension from sling/splint...

Would you mind adding in the date of injury and what occurred as far as "fixing" it? Was it plated, screwed, just casted, etc?
