Business license outcall massage...Help!

I want to give a few massages a week. I would be doing outcalls. My question is do I need a business license for this? A friend, who is not a massage therapist, said I don't need one. Please help!
Also, any other information or advice pertaining to outcall massage would be extremely appreciated. Thank you.

That is what I was thinking also and that is what my business instuctor said at massage school.

Just perusing the Maryland state websites, it seems like you would need to, but it is a little confusing. I suppose there is a chance that a purely on-site/mobile massage might qualify for a peddler's license, but if you cross County lines, you have to get a license in each County. It might be less hassle to establish your business on your premises (though you will need to deal with the zoning department) with a trader's license, and then you can do all the out-call you want. You should call the Clerk of Courts in your City/County to get more details.

You can go to the Town Hall and get a DBA Cert. from the town clerks office. You will need this to set a business checking account
