reba, you may want to look up the Small Business Development Center in your area. They are ran by the Small Business Administration and have free or cheap help. I wrote my business plan about 7 years ago and every year I have progressed more then I thought I would. The secret is that the Plan needs to be a living breathing object. In other words, something that changes as you do. There are many books at the library on writing a business plan, but they don't do you much good, if you write it and put it away and never refer to it again. We pull it out at every staff meeting and discuss were we are and what we need to do to get to the next level. I think it helps if everyone knows right were we are and what the next goal is. If you are a soul prop. then that becomes very easy (hopefully) you know were you are and were you are going.....
