usually the monthly rent for the location is far too high and keeping good staff is difficult...i expect the income taxes would be attractive tho, as it is a mostly cash business

Best way to make money is as an owner/operator. There have been some male owners of AMPs over time that have done well, but it's a lot of work. You can minimize labour costs starting out if you can service clients and then add staff as you need. It might not be a terrible time to lease a space now, poor economic conditions can be great times to invest of you can wait for the economy to turn around, Leasehold improvements will be expensive thanks to the ridiculous cost of building materials right now.

Finding workers would be the hardest part as an “outsider”. I’d imagine it’s mostly just friends of friends of friends who recommend their friends. Or quite possibly, it crosses into the “dark” side of this world where you gotta be connected to the triads etc. This is just me speculating however.

Based on info from my friends in the business, trying to start a massage parlor that isn't associated with the Asian trade, may turn out to be a mistake. Very competitive as well as gang and mafia related.
One's here before have been left alone or bought by the Asians.

Any new mp's these days are Asian controlled.

It’s VERY difficult to find and KEEP staff as the turnover is very HIGH .
Unless you have connections,it’s almost impossible to find good staff.
Yes ,the studios are linked to Triads and for the Caucasian ones ,they are linked to biker gangs.
The returns are enormous but so are the risks as money laundering is part OS the picture.Buyer Beware!!!!!

yeah you need connections back in Asia or Europe to bring in girls as immigrant workers and put them under contract for permanent residency.
