Buying malaria medicine in Bangkok?

Hi. I've seen my UK GP and got advice on the malaria medication I need for the next six months' travel around S.E.Asia. I want to buy Malarone and Doxycycline when I get to Bangkok, to save money. Three questions: Can you recommend a reputable Bangkok outlet (where the medicine isn't fake)? Would the shop let me buy this medicine without a prescription? If not, then where shall I go to get an appointment for the prescription?

BKK is a very modern city and, unless you are buying from a street stall, ANY decent chemist in a major shopping mall will be fine. Just make sure you go to a chemist and not just a "general" store or supermarket.

Malarone isn't available in Thailand. Doxycycline is and no prescription is required. Just go to any High Street pharmacy and buy. 'Boots Chemist' have shops here.
