Buying pregnant female mouse and introducing pinkie/fuzzy mice to her litter?

I want to save mice from being snake food, so I was wondering if I could adopt a pregnant female and when her litter is pinkie age or fuzzy age can I save some of those babies if she has a smaller litter? How many babies would you say would be the maximum a first time mother could handle (may not be first time mother, but just in case) and would it be easier to introduce the pinkies or fuzzies to a litter? If the baby is rejected it would be easier for me to raise a fuzzy, as they don't have to be fed as frequently and they are growing up faster.
I know introducing more mice into a litter is risky, but I'd prefer that they get another chance at life than be eaten by a snake.
I plan on keeping all the does and one male mouse, and then I have 2 friends who can take any other mice, hopefully. I may be able to keep even more mice. I will do my best to sex the pinkies/fuzzies and get does so they can all live together.
And maybe I confused some of you--I want to save mice. I do not have any baby mice yet, as I have to wait until my current mice pass. I don't have any pregnant mice either. And I will introduce pinkies to a litter of pinkie-aged pups and fuzzies to fuzzy-aged mice.

ok so you have some baby mice? get a female thats just had a litter and they might take the new litter and the other ones would be grown up. what are you going to do with that many mice????? its natural for snakes to eat mice and for mice to be eaten thats why they have so many kids theyre not all meant to survive they make extra for the snakes.... if you started saving them in the wild the balance would go crazy.. why would you save a mouse from his natural life and inflict an unnatural one on him? and his mom? i dont understand where your getting the second litter of mice from? do you have baby mice or something?

The tell you the truth the only way to introduce pinkies and fuzzies to a mother is if the female that had the babies before she did was in the same cage and smells like something she recognizes.

Now you can take one female out because she doesn't care for the babies out of a cage have her have her litter then put the babies in the cage and take the new mother and put her in a different cage so the babies don't die.

Just introducing babies like you are saying will be very risky. I have raised mice for over 3 years and I haven't had any luck on what your suggesting on doing. I wouldn't do it unless you want to see babies die.

By the way I have had 1 mother raise up to 15 young with no problem but different ages will be hard on the pinkies, because the fuzzies will push the pinkies away from her.

Saving them mice will just really be a drop in the ocean.
I bought a pregnant mouse (i didnt know she was pregnant) and it was just a huge hassle. She had 6 pinkies, i couldnt find a home for any of the babies so i had to keep them all, so they bred, i ended up with like 20 mice and still couldnt find any a home. i couldnt even get another cage to seperate the males and females because the only pet store near me was out of stock for a loong time. so the males fought alot, and some actually ended up killing eachother. If i had to give you any advice on this it would be not to do it. They were super cute and i loved each and every one of them like they were my own babies but it was alot of hassle with them breeding and fighting all the time. Now my mum wont even let me get another mouse ever incase i get another pregnant one!
