- Duluth city councilors are considering a proposal to license massage parlors and saunas to help keep the businesses legitimate. Police Chief Eli Miletich suggested the ordinance after hearing complaints from a number of West Duluth business people and residents.
- The Duluth Transit Authority would like to enhance the city's tourism market by offering a shuttle service between local attractions. Three trolley-like buses would ferry people from the city's tourist attractions, including the Depot, Canal Park and Glensheen mansion.

- Permits for construction issued so far this year by the Duluth building inspector already total $5,450,386, more than the permits issued during the entire year of 1921. Indications are that the remaining portion of the year will bring the total near $7 million.
- Construction of the $1.5 million dam and water power plant project to supply the Iron Range with electricity is showing marked progress since it began in June 1921. The project is being built on the Kawishiwi River by the Minnesota Utilities Company.
