can i massage my baby first and then bathe her?

we live in a caribbean country,its rly rly hot here sometimes my room is 90degrees..
so i bathe her every night with warm water offcourse ,she's 3 months old...(the doc says its no prob to bathe her every night )..also its a part of her bedtime routine..but my question is ,can i massage her with baby oil first and then bathe her..or its always correct or bathe first and then massage!!..im asking this coz some of my frds say its not good to massage first,it always has to be after a bath!!..plz help...thanks ..

I always massage with lotion after a bath. You'll only be washing the oil off with a bath, but I think however you decide to do it is fine. You're mom... and your way IS the right way. You know what your baby loves.

She won't get the moistrizing benefits of the oil or lotion if you wash her afterward. But baby oil isn't great for the skin anyway.

Also the massage relaxes and she may lose the relaxation if you put her in the bath after.

it's up to you. I'd massage after the bath though cause then she's so relaxed and to then take her up and bathe her this will prolly rile her up again.

I live in Jamaica but unlike you I use normal piped water whenever I bathe my son, he loves it. I've been doing it since he was 2 weeks old. I sometimes bathe my son 3 times per day.
