Can massage therapy be a career ?

Can it be a career, or just a job for a short term ?
I want to do it, but people tell me that it's hard to find work, and that I'm better off doing something else as a career. Are they right ?

It is a career. You can even start your own personal business too, instead of working at a massage place or at a place where massage therapy would be needed (ie: chiropractor's office/practice, senior citizen living community, hospitals, spas, etc).

If you are serious about pursing a job in massage therapy, then I would highly recommend going for it! It may be hard to find customers at first (when you first start out, after you received your degree and certification), but with the right pricing and a good word of mouth (if you make business cards with your contact information and your specialties, it can help boost the amount of clients that you have seeing you).
