^^^^^^ this from a guy with a handle "romance" lol (but I agree with you).
I find that many couples stay together after the "love" is gone out of loyalty, committment, honor, but as we see on these boards, they do all that then see SPs on the side.
In the big scheme of things, no, money can't buy you love, in the literal sense. But it most certainly opens the door for it.
For eg:
Even though just about every woman would say, a guy with a DB9, Gallardo, or Rolex watch doesn't mean anything to them, all those things would get her looking. Even in the negative sense. What's that saying? There's no such thing as bad press?
In another way, how many women would not be flattered or interested if a guy asked them out for an italian dinner, then flew her on a private jet to venice?
Or more on the philothrampic end of things. You meet a woman, you find out she's really into saving stray animals, so you build a shelter on a farm in her name and set it up so they can have the run of the fields instead of being locked up in a cage.
I mean, if you read the personal ads on POF etc, you'll see the vast majority of women list a criteria of: gainfully employed, or something. If one has money, no matter what they say, that criteria is at least met. In another way, a woman is interested in two men: one works as a grease monkey, the other drives around in a bentley. One will give her the basic necessities of life, the other can provide her with the lap of luxury, send any kids they have to university, free her up to do what she wants (in terms of work, charities, sports etc). She can have the ability to do what she wants to do as opposed to what she has to do.....
I mean hey, how many sp's have watched "Pretty Woman" and not thought, now that's what I'm talking about!!!!
