Can someone tell me the views of Universities and the new A* grade thats been

introduced? I heard places like Cambridge were not taking this grade into account but now minimum grade offers have been raised to A*AA instead of AAA. I just would like to know if this is something that all universities have to acknowedge. Thanks for your time guys

I think Cambridge University are the first to make the move to putting an A* into the minimum offer. Other universities are planning on following, or 'seeing how it goes', but may follow in their footsteps. I read on Oxford's website, they aren't using it just yet though!

I've also seen that places, although they don't ask for an A*, if, say AAA was required, and you got, say, A*AB they would still accept you onto the course, if the B was in a subject that wasn't necessary for the course.
