Can you introduce new words, like compound words, in adult literature?

Example given, perfume-ridden, or wet-kissed-passion?
Are there rules and when can you and can't you dash words for your own description?
Just wondering. About to write a steamy piece of text.

I don't see any reason why not. Webster adds multiple new words each year to the dictionary. Even though your words might not get enough usage to be added, I say go for it. Sometimes, there just isn't a word out there that conveys (to your standards) what you want it to.
...Side note, Prez Bush never let "non" word hold him back...lol
