Letter Carriers and inside sorters are in strike position in early February. Looks like both sides are hunkering down for a battle.
Some of the contentious issues are sick leave and adding significant workloads onto the carriers.
It's going to affect my business quite a bit as I use Canada-Post for bulk mailing.
I am ambivalent about the situation. Nobody likes to have benefits taken away while adding extra work and a strike is really the only way the workers can try and oppose this new restructure.
Winnipeg under the new system has already had several wildcat strikes, I think this one is going to be a bigger fight than the garbage collectors.:neutral:
