canadian MT school , how hard is it ?

I am hoping to enrol in MT school for next september, and just curious how hard is it, do u have to be really smart. the school I'm looking into is in London, Ontario: 2200 hours , 3 days a week , 8 am till 8pm, and on the 4 days off they say u can expect to study from 30- 40 hours. All that studying scares me. I just finished an anatomy and physiology course to prepare me, which i did good in, but it was overwelming and didnt come easily, and i'm just worried if i found just 1 course overwelming, how a full course load will be. In my defense i think a 3rd of the anatomy course dropped out and 9 of the remaining students were taking a refresher course, and most of the class was overwelmed and the teacher said she wished she had twice as long to cover all the material, plus I'm a perfectionist that doesnt like getting below 80- 90 %.

you'll be fine. the process of the way they teach things will help you along. you'll have plenty of time to learn and understand things before you move on to further lessons. also, in my opinion... schools always over-exaggerate the number of hours outside of school you'll need to spend study. i think they're just trying to prepare people in understanding that it's not easy, that it does take a lot of effort. you should get an awesome education. 2200 hours is a lot of learning. don't let that deter you from choosing to go or not.

I think you'll be fine! I took a 2200 hour course and I don't think anyone studied 30-40 hours a week! They told us the same thing when I applied to my school, and I think they're just trying to weed out the people who aren't serious about it, and are looking for an easy course to take. The only time I studied around 30 hours per week was right before the OSCE's. Schools understand that people have lives outside of work. Some of my classmates worked 25-30 hours a week, and still did very well in school. You don't have to be super smart, just go to class, ask questions if you don't understand something, and try to get a group study going. That helped a lot of us.

yeah that whole 30-40 hours a week had me a little worried, with the anatomy and physiology nothing would sink in after an hour or 2 unless i took a good break
