Cancellation lead time?

What's a generally accepted advance cancellation time for a MP appointment?

Please don't tell me 24 hours....

The sooner the better.

As soon as you find out that you can't make it you should call them. The more advance notice you give them the better so they can free up that time for the other customers.

Strange question! Doesn't human sense and decency suggest you cancel the appointment the minute you know you can't make it? Obviously life does get in the way of hobbying, and you can have some last minute cancellations (I know I have when I was called for an unexpected work meeting), but I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't cancel when you know you can't make it.

How decent are you for thinking this way! I bet MPs get alot of no-shows without apology. The decent thing to do is call if you are going to be late or can't make your appointment. They have a business to run and should be respected for that.

Why are you guys assuming I'm canceling a potential appointment? Just because I asked?

I asked because I'm new to the MP thing and wanted to know if anything less than 24hrs is frowned on. Yes, I realize it's an inconvenience for them but even regular places make an allowance - didn't know what the expectations where in this situation. Now I do.

Who the fuck cares? Maybe the ugly MPAs, but the hot looking ones get booked up by the legends of clients waiting in the lobby or checking massageplanet.net.

Since retiring, I call up MPs and book appointments under various massageplanet.net users. LOL

I've cancelled as early as 10 minutes before a session. And that's only because I hit a day with terrible gridlock everywhere and it was impossible to make it even though if traffic was smooth I would have had to kill 20-30 minutes before entering the spa. It was just one of those days hot summer days where nothing moved anywhere.

I've only cancelled a couple of other times in the past. My rule is give 2-3 hours notice so they have time to book someone else and the MPA isn't out of any money due to me.

The fact you were considerate enough to cancel will be appreciated... even if it's short notice.

When i book, I book late at night - dinner's done, workout is done etc etc and sufficient time to get there....yeah, i'm anal.

Yesterday I had to cancel, I only gave them 75 minutes notice but that was the best I could do. I called as soon as I could, when they opened for business.
