Canon 7D $1800?

I saw this comparison of the Canon 7D to the Barbie Video Girl
I'm considering a new camera, the Canon is $1800 the Barbie is $50, which do you think I should get? Is one better value for my dollar?

Get a flip Mino HD, these things are phenomenal. They take video in 720p HD and it fits right in your pocket
Get them on ebay or craigslist for around $100

Is this a serious question, or am I slow today

I have a 7d and I like it a lot. I had a Rebel before, but wanted an upgrade.

It is a significant upgrade from a Rebel. 19AF points, fast fps, it's good if you like shooting action. If you're looking for more of a studio camera go for the 5d Mk ii.

I was a bit concerned with the MP, but the noise is decent and I never shoot higher than ISO 1600.

I bought just the body, was not too interested in the lens that came with the camera. I suggest investing in a good lens (one of the "L" lenses - they're expensive but worth it). I use a 24-70mm f2.8L and love it.

Canon is expected to announce a replacement for the 50D later this year, so you might want to wait for that, it should be less than the 7D, but more than a Rebel.

I figured anyone that actually had the 7D would figure out it was satire, maybe even appreciated the humor.
I do recommend you pick up a "hand effect" for your Canon 7D, it really added something to the Barbie footage and I think you could improve your shots if you added a hand in the corner. You want to be competitive on the market and this new Barbie cam is going to make it tough for all the amateur photographers out there. :he:
