Can't find any massage parlors in the United States anymore

Prior to 2011-2012 massage parlors existed in the US, but now they've all been shut down, at least based on what I see on the East Coast of the US (NYC/DC/Baltimore/etc.) Potentially this happened in other areas of the country as well.

Does anyone know why this happened a few years ago? The only way now to get erotic massage is to travel to Canada.

In the US, there's currently a website called "Backpage.com" where private providers now list themselves, but that's all extremely dirty and unsavory, with ugly deviants. What I'm talking about is a massage office where you could come in and choose from several clean, attractive, elegant ladies (not only Asian but also Russian, American, Black, etc.). These offices have all been shut down (or maybe they went out of business?). Only Canada still has these kinds of massage places, which is very frustrating.
