I find the form more adaptable to the work I actually do. I'm really good at using SOAPs, but I don't bill insurance, I don't really do much injury treatment, and I've found that referring practitioners -- docs & PTs -- would rather have a paragraph report for those situations anyway.
I find SOAPs super useful for rehab, injury, times when the client needs to see "it was bad, it got better, now it's done," but by choice that's not most of my clientele. I've got more fibro, migraine, chronic pain, MS, chemo, and wellness clients, and after a trial run I'm finding that CARE just flows better for me. I can easily put both S and O content in C (divided); I also divide A into Assessment and Action; I especially love that there's a section just for Response, rather than having to shove responses into the changes posted at the ends of all my Os on a SOAP.
