you see all these videos of cats "massaging" other animals like dogs, other cats, even people, I've even had my cat do this to my dog right in front of me before, I just can't see why they do it, a sign of love? is this natural behavior?
 
It's natural, and it's a sign of comfort.

When cats are little kittens, and suckling from their mother, they will use their paws to 'massage' either side of the mothers nipple to ease the milk out quicker. This behaviour carries on into adult life, and comes out when the cat is particually comfortable or happy - or settling down to sleep!
 
If you are talking about the kneading paw thing that cats do, then it is a natural behavior. Cats do that as kittens while nursing, to stimulate the mother's mammary glands. They continue this behavior as they grow older when they feel squishy things, or even into the air, when they are happy/content.
